This page lists the guilds active within the Barony and their contact information. Cooks Guild The Cooks' Guild researches and indulges in the culinary arts of the Middle Ages and Renaissance. Topics ranging from “How to Cook for Over Three Hundred People” to “Period Cooking Over a Camp Fire” to “Alternatives to Potatoes” are met with lively discussion and enthusiasm. Spinning, dying, weaving, knitting, nalbinding and many other fiber arts are studied and practiced. The Guild sponsors group projects to give members an opportunity to learn new techniques, and even organizes the occasional field trip to places of interest to fiber geeks (like a sheep farm). Meets the forth Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm, in members' homes (location rotates). While calligraphy and illumination are the primary arts practiced, they also entertain a healthy interest in period pigments, parchment, paper and pens.
