The End of the Silk Road is the theme for Midwinter
Our beloved Danshaku (Baron) Hayashi Norikata and Nagiyda (Baroness) Shoshanah Bas Ruven have decided to retire. We wish them well with all the love in our hearts. It is Our wish and pleasure to announce to One and All that Her Ladyship Bryngerðr Þiðreksdóttir and Sir Ronan na f-fiacal mac Conaill have been chosen as the successors to the Coronet of Caer Galen. Please join Us in celebration, and to wish them good fortune, and wisdom in action.
“Along the silken roads” is the theme for our Midwinter Celebration this year. Let's travel along the Silk Road together. It reaches from Italy to Spain and France. It will be a time to share stories, Baronial history to observe our 20th year as a Barony, and to have fun.
Their Majesties will invest the new Baron and Baroness. There will be tournaments for Captain of the Guard and Cut and Thrust Champion and a vote held for the next Harp of Caer Galen! There will be a Bardic Competition for the position of Bard of Caer Galen. There will also be a silent auction of artisan wares to raise money for the baronial travel fund. We will have more tales to tell as the time draws closer!
