Investiture

The baronial seats have sat empty for long enough. Our Vicar and Vicaress have done an amazing job taking care of us, but come and support us as Baroness Rowena and Baron Wolfgang take the custody of the barrel, ahem Barony of Monkeys!

Elevations

Maybe you have some words of wisdom, or seek insights from our Vigilants, Sir Michaelangelo Francesco di Genoa or 

Her Excellency Hannah de Avila who will be on vigil for the Order of Defense and the Laurel, respectfully.

Feast

• Feast will be served at lunch. The wonderful and telented Mistress Aldyth is heading up preparations, and it will be a game meat based menu. 

• Please bring your feast gear. 

Bardic

Random acts of bardic shall take place throughout the day!

Harp of Caer Galen- Populace Vote

Has someone shown themselves to be a light in these raging storms? Have they proven themself to be a joyous song within the Valley of Sound? Vote them as Caer Galen’s Harp! 

• The Harp of Caer Galen is the member of the populace you feel has best embodied the Dream of the SCA this year.

Captain of the Guard Tournament -Torches in the Blizzard

Are you brave enough to face the storm head on in our Uphold the Torch Captain of the Guard tournament? 

The blizzard is limiting visibility, you wouldn’t want your torch go out and get Lost in the Snowstorm, would you?

Tournament Rules:

• The torch is the unique part of this tournament. Here’s why:

  • It holds a tennis ball, which symbolizes the torches ‘Flame’. If your torchbearer is killed, or if the ball falls out of the torch, your team is FROZEN IN PLACE. You can still fight from where you’re standing, but you cannot move.

• This tournament starts as a 1v1, then snowballs each round.

• The team captain is responsible for the given Torch and MUST hold the torch.

  • While it is an important part of your team, EXTINGUISHING THE TORCH IS NOT A KILL.

A&S Competition 

Do your crafts stand up against the frigid winds and blinding, biting cold of the Winter? Compete in our Winter Gear Themed A&S Prize Competition!

• Victor will be determined by the vote of the populace. 

• Beads for voting will be provided along with vessels to place votes in.

• Please bring projects related to winter gear and be creative on how you connect the project. 

  • Examples- garments, skis, heartwarming foods, or easy pack rations, perhaps a story you’ve written to fill the winter nights.

Silent Auction

Do you enjoy the hunt? Our silent auction provides the perfect landscape for you to track down your quarry.

The silent auction will start at 9am, and run through 3pm. Bid early, bid often!

Garb Grab

Does the newcomer in your life need new garb? Sir Adriann’s Garb Grab might be just the thing you need!

• Everyone is encouraged to donate

• Clothing in various styles and sizes will be available to be haggled over

•  NEWCOMERS can donate to receive a bag to fill with Garb of various shapes and sizes!

• All proceeds will benefit a fund for war trucks!

Games

There will be a variety of games set up for your leisurely enjoyment. In addition, we will be hosting the following structured games. Overall gaming coordinator is Lord Hilarion.

Yeti Bellowing Competition

Do your lungs rival that of a Yeti? Compete in our Yeti Bellowing Competition!

• This will be done outdoors for the safety of the populace.

• Competitors will do what they deem the best Yeti bellow

  • This does not necessarily mean loudest is best.

• Coordinator is Lady Fiadh Mac Tyre (known as Beta)
